Way of Azerbaijan reported on 10 May that the movement has completed preparations for a rally to be held at the Ukraine square on 12 May.
Gasimov noted that action was aimed at protesting against the decision of the Azerbaijani Tariff Council on increase of prices of energy resources, as well as issues concerning the Nagorno-Karabakh
According to Gasimov, 3,000 people will attend the action. The Azerbaijani Democratic Party, the Liberal Democratic Party, parties entering the block Our Azerbaijan, as well as a range of non-governmental organizations will join the rally.
The Way of Azerbaijan reported that the Musavat party postponed the action, originally scheduled for 27 May, to 20 May and it surprised the leader of the movement.
"The reason for such step is unknown. The rally that we are going to hold will not hinder the other actions. We do not want the rallies to become a way of competition among the political parties," Gasimov stressed.
Isgandar Hamidov, the Chairman of the National Democratic Party, stated that it would be better for Musavat to join the action to be held by Way of Azerbaijan rather arranging an action separately on 20 May. "The opposition parties should not act separately," emphasized.
