Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr E. Huseynli / The development of the National Conception of Middle Asia and South Caucasus Countries on Fight Against AIDS and Drug Addiction will be discussed at an international conference in Astana, Kazakhstan on 5 - 9 June jointly organized by the Kazakhstan Government and the UN. Azerbaijan will be represented by MPs Azay Guliyev, and Musa Guliyev.
Azay Guliyev reported on 31 May that he would deliver a lection on the activities carried out by Azerbaijan in this field and the plans to be implemented.
Some 18,000 drug addicts and some 1,100 affected people have been registered in Azerbaijan, with 33% registered in Baku and 66% in other regions.
