Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. I.Alizadeh / The Azerbaijani MPs raised the question to call the Iranian ambassador to Azerbaijan to the Parliament.

Igabal Agazadeh , the chairman of the Azerbaijani Umud Party, stated that the Iranian Government violates the rights of the Azerbaijanis residing in Iran and puts pressure on them.

"While speaking about the violation of rights of Iranian Azerbaijanis, Azerbaijan states the impracticality of Baku to interfere in the domestic affairs of Iran. The protection of democracy and human rights cannot be the internal affairs of the country. The Azerbaijani Government carries the moral liability for the protection of rights of compatriots in the world. The State Committee on Work with Azerbaijanis Residing Abroad functions in solving the problem," Agazadeh noted.

Azerbaijan must interfere into the issues, in order to provide rights of Azerbaijanis residing in Iran. The Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan is obliged to give the Iranian ambassador the corresponding commission.

"The Azerbaijani Parliament cannot remain isolated from the problem. The Iranian Ambassador must be called to the Parliament," Agazadeh added.

The proposal of Agazadeh supported Nasib Nasibli , the member of the Deputy group of the opposition party Musavat.

Sabir Rustamkhanli , Fazil Gazanfaroglu , Arzu Samadbayli and Panah Huseyin joined in on the discussion relating to the problem. They believe that the Iranian Government violates the rights of Azerbaijanis residing in Iran.
