Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. S.Ilhamgizi / The low level of familiarity in the field of their own rights is the main reason for social passivity of women in Azerbaijan.
This statement was declared during the roundtable on Reasons of Social Passivity of Women, organized by the initiative of the Youth Organization of the Democratic Reform Party of Azerbaijan.
The representatives of the forum spoke about the reasons of social passivity of Azerbaijani women. According to them it is due to custom, impunity, and indifference to the legal mechanisms at work that oppress women, as well as family issues, traditions and many other reasons.
The Democratic Reform Party will continue social discussions regarding this issue and effective proposals will be submitted to the Legislative and Executive Administration.
