31 Violations Registered at Azerbaijani Frontier in June

Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr K. Zarbaliyeva / As a result of prevention measures of the employees of the State Border Service, 49 border violators were detained in June (13 Azerbaijani, 21 Iranian , 7 Georgian, 3 Iraqi, 2 Russian, 2 Turkish, and 1 Pakistani citizen).

Thirty violators were detained during passing service section of the state frontier post, 19 during passing admission unit of state frontier, 11 due to forged documents, and 6 due to passing the border with other's documents.

Appropriate measures were undertaken with respect to 54 Azerbaijani citizens, who were detained at service sections of the state frontier post due to violation of the frontier regime regulations. Thirty-two citizens of other countries were detained in frontier control units due to lack of documents. Some 111 citizens of European, African, and Asian countries were detained due to lack of visas.

Four ships owned by Russia, 11 vessels and 7 boats owned by Azerbaijan were seized in the Caspian Sea. Seventy tones of unregistered fuel were found in Russian fishing-boat seized in Azerbaijani waters. Some 2,300 metres of fishing nets, 9,450 fish-hooks were seized in the sea.

Searched 42 people were detained and transmitted to law enforcement bodies. Four cases of drug trafficking ( 90.65 kg) were registered. Thirty-six cases of smuggling (in the sum of AZN 510,924) were prevented within a month.
