Government and Opposition Should Demonstrate Sincere Position to Establish Dialogue: Deputy Chairman of Azerbaijan’s Ruling Party

Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend E.Huseynly / The Deputy Chairman and Executive Secretary of ruling New Azerbaijan Party (NAP), Ali Ahmadov, said that the Government and opposition should demonstrate a sincere position to establish dialogue.

According to him, NAP has repeatedly demonstrated its will to organize various formats of dialogue between the Government and opposition.

"As previously, we state that we support dialogue. However, the will of one side is not enough. Organizing talks should precede the atmosphere that facilitates this process," Ahmadov said.

For several years already, proposals have been voiced in Azerbaijan to establish talks between the Government and the opposition, but no results have been obtained yet.

The New Azerbaijan Party was created in 1992 by the nationwide leader of Azerbaijan, Heydar Aliyev. Currently the Party is chaired by the President of Azerbaijan.
