Iranian Law Defenders Consider Unfair Decision of Islam Republic of Iran to Execute Two Kurd Journalists

Oxtay / The Iranian law defenders, acting in many countries of the world, consider unfair the decision of the Islamic Republic of Iran to execute two Kurd journalists due to their professional activities. Rza Moini, the member of the international organization of 'Borderless Reporters' considers that Iran is the country violating the legislation.

The journalists, Adnan Hasanpur and Hivi Butimar, were arrested by law-enforcements body of Iran four months before and were charged with anti national security activities, transfer state military secrets to alternative forces and armed struggle against the Iranian Authorities by the decision of Marivan Court of Iran. Mahammad Saleh Nikbat, the lawyer of the journalists, has reported that the defenders plead guilty, at the same time the lawyer added that the decision of the court was unfair the journalists cannot be executed.

Rza Moini has reported to Trend by telephone from Washington that the court trial including Hasanpur and Butimar was injustice. "Admission of guilt made by the decision of the Iranian Court has not taken up by the journalists. The Iranian Authorities repeatedly bring an accusation against the representatives of press and policy. However, such accusations have not been approved by the Revolutionary Courts of Iran," Moini said.

Mina Ahadi, the chairman of Company against executes and law defender, also considers the decision of the court against two journalists unfair. "Initially the journalists were arrested due to their professional activities, but later they were accused with organization of armed struggle," Ahadi noted. According to the chairman, despite the accusations will correspond reality, we cannot admit to execute the journalists. France, Germany, the US, Italy and many other countries demand cancellation of execution.

Zehra Erfani, the Iranian law defender acting in Switzerland, believes unfair and groundless decision against the journalists. Erfani said there was a range of cases when political activists were accused by groundless charges in Iran. The law defenders consider tragedy when women and children see the execution process. Recently the '20 minute' newspaper of Switzerland published an article with a photograph of five years old child watching the execution process. The Iranian Authorities publicly executed 22 people, charged with hooliganism and drug; however, most of them were executed due to political issues.

Bernar Kushner, the head of the France Foreign Ministry, has stated that France and other member-countries of EU condemn Iran for the decision to execute two journalists. B.Kushner demanded to observes by the Iranian Authorities freedom of speech and media.
