Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend E.Huseynli / The Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan, Zakir Garalov, refuted rumours that the collapse of the newly constructed sixteen-storey building in Baku is not an act of terrorism.

According to Garalov, the misinformation of an explosion detonating in the building as a result of terrorism does not correspond to the reality.

On 28 August around 5pm, the sixteen-storey building constructed by the company 'Mutafakkir' in Mammad Nakchivani street collapsed. According to an initial version, the building collapsed due to a gross violation of safety regulations during the construction. According to the official data, the number of workers that died as a result of being trapped under the collapsed building has reached thirteen.
