Air & Waste Management Association Offers Conference Focusing on the Emergence of

(Environmental-expert) The Air & Waste Management Association (A& WMA) will offer the specialty conference, " Vapour Intrusions: A Rapidly Developing Environmental Challenge," Nov. 14-15, at the Hyatt Regency Calgary, Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

The conference will address the rapidly emerging issue of vapour intrusion specifically as it relates to the Canadian provinces. Presentations will address science and policy, analytical and sampling methods, and liability issues. Case studies will also be explored. Henry Schuver of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency will deliver the keynote address, " Vapour Intrusion: Growing Awareness of the Challenges," on the morning of Wednesday, Nov. 14.

As part of the conference, A& WMA will also offer the professional development course "AIR 212: Assessment, Modeling and Mitigation of Soil Vapour Intrusion," instructed by Ian Hers, Ph.D., P.Eng ., and Jeanette M. Southwood , M.A.Sc ., P.Eng ., both of Golder Associates, Ltd.
