Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr. S. Aghayeva / The US Embassy in Azerbaijan and the Heydar Aliyev Foundation announced a journalistic competition for the Elmar Huseynov Prize.
According to the US Embassy, the competition will last until 15 July 2008.
All printed and hard copies to be submitted to the competition must be in Azerbaijani. While the jury will assess submissions based on actuality, political objectivity, and fairness.
Newspaper journalists will receive twelve of the eighteen small grants (between $300 and $1,000), and TV journalist will receive the other six.
