Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. Z.Safarov / The Azerbaijani gymnast Anna Gurbanova won four silver medals at the International tournament Spoleto Cup in Italy. Gurbanova collected 64.425 points, and left Maria Yushkevich from Belarus, trailing.
"I am satisfied with the results," Gurbanova said. Gurbanova took second place after Eugenia Kanayeva from Russia. Another gymnast Zeynab Javadli reached the final.
Javadli showed the best result in the final with a ribbon and took the fifth place. She was seventh in the skipping-rope (14.45 points) and hoop (14.3 points) and was eighth overall in the competition (58.225 points).
The press-service of the Azerbaijani Gymnastic Federation reported that other gymnasts of the country Alia Garayeva, as well as Vafa Huseynova, Anna Bitiyeva, Valeria Egay, Alina Trepina, Anastasia Prasolova and Anastasia Makarova will take part in the pre-Olympic tournament in Beijing from 5 to 7 December. The tournament includes gymnasts who qualified for the 2008 Olympics.

The seventh championships on Tumbling dedicated to the memory of the founder of the Baku Gymnastics School, Javid Amirov ended in Baku. More than 30 athletes took part in the championships, Tahsil and Davachi represented the Baku Gymnastic School.
Haviz Rzayev with 101.7 points became champion of the country, last years champions Said Salimov and Timur Odushev were awarded silver medals.
Nabi Mirzaliyev (26.96 points) and Narmina Minegulova (27.3 points), Jalal Azizli (27.62) and Sevda Nasrullayeva (27.28) became masters among the candidates.
Ismayil Hajizadeh (27.19) and Aytan Shukurova (27.03) won gold medalsin the second class.
Farid Iskakov (26.36) took first place inthe third class.
