Largest Cake in Caucasus Cut in Ganja City of Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan, Ganja / Тrend corr. V.Mammadov / The largest cake in Caucasus was cut in the Ganja City of Azerbaijan due to birthday of the President of Azerbaijan, as well as New Year and Day of Solidarity of Azerbaijanis in World.

The cake with 15 metre of length, 4 metre of width and 14 metre of high was cut in the centre street of the city.

Some 700kg of flour, 630kg of sugar, 13,000 eggs, 14kg of cacao, 90kg of nuts, 150 litre of milk, 120kg of butter and 6kg of cherry were used to prepare the cake.

The idea was proposed by the owner of the Nurgul Ltd of Ganja a Turkish businessman Muzaffar Aguloglu. The cost of the cake is AZN 5,000. The Kapaz mountain and Gey Gol iverand eighteen landscapes of Ganja R were pictured on the cake.

The cake was cooked for seven days. The Ganja Executive Administrator Eldar Azizov stated that local businessmen themselves initiated to implement such an event. The cake was cut and distributed among population.

Ganja city is located 365km west of Baku.
