Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend E.Huseynli / Kindergartens and secondary schools in Azerbaijan have been closed for a period of three days due to bad weather conditions, a source stated at Azerbaijan's Ministry of Education on 7 January.
The temperature has dropped dramatically in Azerbaijan over the last three days. Snowfall in southern and northern regions of Azerbaijan has reached half a meter. During these days, foggy and snowy weather was observed in Baku as well. Transport means have paralyzed due to icy conditions on the roads.
The Ministry of Education stated that attendance has decreased in secondary schools and kindergartens. Due to this, 7, 8 and 9 January were announced as unplanned vacation. If the unfavorable weather conditions continue, the vacation will be extended, the same source stated.
