Golden Globe Winners to be Announced in Los-Angeles

The 65th American Golden Globe winners, which follow the Oscars in terms of prestige, will be announced in Los-Angeles on 14 January, the organizing committee of the event reported to RIA Novosti.

The awards have been organized annually by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association since 1944.

This year it will be the first time in the history of the awards that the presentation will not be followed by a ceremony. Instead, a press conference will take place, where the list of winners will be announced. The organizers had to change the format of the event due to a strike by Hollywood screen writers and the refusal of members of the Screen Actors Guild, who joined the screen writers, to attend the event.
