( dpa ) - Germany goalkeeper Jens Lehmann said on Saturday night he expects to be a starter at Euro 2008 even though he is only the reserve man at his English club Arsenal.
"I am convinced that I will play at Euro," Lehmann told ZDF television.
Lehmann, 38, admitted that Germany coach Joachim Loew has offered him "no guarantee" that he will play at the Euro tournament June 7-29 in Austria and Switzerland, but said that a lack of matches was no problem for him because "I am mentally fresh."
Lehmann, 38, has rarely played at Arsenal this season. He had an offer from Borussia Dortmund for a January move, but rejected it for family reasons.
