( dpa )- A 2-metre crocodile has made its home in the water hazard of an Australian golf course, news reports said Wednesday.

Local authorities intend to relocate the croc from the Willows golf course in Townsville to more suitable accommodation.

"If it's a freshwater crocodile, they're obviously not quite as dangerous as a saltwater, but still with that sort of size it's not something you want to leave in a water hazard on the golf course," ranger Clive Cook told national broadcaster ABC.
