Coordinating Council of Azerbaijani and Turkish Diasporas to Hold Its Meeting
Azerbaijan, Baku, 29 February / corr. Trend S. Ilhamgizi/ The Coordinating Council of Azerbaijani and Turkish diasporas will hold its first annual meeting, Nazim Ibrahimov, the head of the State Committee for the Work with Azerbaijanis Living Abroad, said to the journalists on 29 January.
According to Ibrahimov, the meeting will be held in Berlin on 27 March.
The meeting will choose the co-chairmen of the Coordinating Council and joint recommendations will be developed regarding the activities of Azerbaijani and Turkish Diasporas. The Diaspora organizations in other countries have been invited to participate in the meeting as well.
In march 2007, the Coordinating Council was founded in the first forum of Azerbaijani and Turkish diasporas.
Ibrahimov said that Azerbaijan can be considered a leader among the Turkic speaking countries for its roles in expanding cooperation with the Turkish world.
