Azerbaijan, Baku, 6 March / corr. Trend S. Ilhamgizi/ Some 5 to 6 children, living in the children's home, were adopted during the first two months of 2008, Hijran Huseynova, the chairman of the State Commission for Family, Women and Children's Problems said to Trend .
The Coodinating Council was set up with the participation of State Bodies including the Commssion to exercise control over the adoption of children, she said.
According to Huseynova, the State Commission tries to find out the families which can afford the adoption, as well as how much resource the government is expected to allocate for this purpose. "We must find out whether the families adopting children have appropriate conditions for it. We should accomplish this task properly so that the families would not return the children afterwards. Therefore, it is important not to make hasty conclusions while adoption of a child," the chairman of commission stated.
According to her, the funds will be allocated for every child adopted. The government will see where these funds will be spent.
