Azerbaijan, Baku, 17 April / corr. Trend I. Alizade/ The State Program on the Development of Chess in Azerbaijan is soon to be established and approved by the President Ilham Aliyev in the next few days.
"At present, the vice premier and government officials are discussing the State Program Development of Chess in Azerbaijan. The work on the draft is expected to be completed today," said Eldar Qasimov, the deputy education minister during the discussions in the parliament over Bill on Children's Sport.
There are some 64 chess schools in Azerbaijan.
The deputy minister said that the State Program will realise the development of chess in Azerbaijan. The Program also includes improving the material and technical basis of chess schools, training sessions for the trainers and other objectives.
