Violation Increased in Professional Conduct of Azerbaijani Press

Azerbaijan, Baku, 23 May / corr. Trend E. Babayev/ The Azerbaijani press violated the Occupational Conduct Regulations of Journalists (OCRJA) in Azerbaijan for 329 times in April. It is the highest indicator registered since the beginning of 2008, the Press Council said to Trend .

The media has violated OCRJA 287 times in January, 312 times in February and 146 times in March.

The Press Council has been holding a monitoring every month, since the beginning of the year, to determine general tendencies in the press. The monitoring shows which media source has published a concrete report, what is the report like, from which source it was obtained and how many times this media source has violated OCRJA.

The monitoring revealed that some 49,508 articles have been published in the papers, which were monitored in April. April showed an addition of 16,525 articles more than the indicator of March.
