Azerbaijan, Baku, 11 June / corr. Trend R. Ergun/ The Azerbaijani championship on beach football among the amateur team has already started. A total of 58 teams are taking part in the tournament organized by the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan and Beach Football Federation of Azerbaijan.
The tournament will be held on 10 to 19 June.
The tournament will be held in line with the Olympic system. The matches of 1/32 final will be held on 11-13 June, 1/16 final on 14-15 June, 1/8 final - on 16 June and ¼ final - 17 June.
The decisive games will be held on 18-19 June.
AFFA has founded a prize fund in order to increase the interest to beach football and to motivate the participants. The champion of the tournament will be granted AZN10,000,
The team winning 2nd and 3rd places will be granted prizes worth AZN5,000 and AZN3,000.
