Azerbaijan, Baku, 13 June / corr. Trend R. Ergun/ A Regional Football Federation has been established in Azerbaijan, press service of the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA) said to Trend on 13 June.
The former footballer of Netchi club, Isgandar Javadov, has been elected the first president of the newly-established federation. His appointment was unanimously supported by the all participants, with the means of voting held in the administrative building of AFFA.
Some time ago, Javadov had stated that he intend to take the post of AFFA vice president. But later, Rauf Aliyev and Elshad Nasirov were appointed AFFA vice presidents.
The former footballer of Neftchi is also a member of the Executive Committee of AFFA.
