Azerbaijani Ombudswoman Hope to Release Jailed Journalists

Azerbaijan, Baku, 18 June / Trend corr. I.Alizade / Elmira Suleymanova, Ombudswoman hopes that the necessary steps to release the jailed journalists will be taken in the near future. "The situation with the journalists concerns all at present," Suleymanova said to journalists in Baku on 18 June.

The Ombudsman Administration focuses its attention on journalists, as well as detained journalists. The Administration officials have met with three detained journalistsEynulla Fatullayev, chief editor of Gundalik Azerbaijan and Realni Azerbaijan newspapers,  and  Ganimat Zahid, chief editor of Azadlig newspaper, Mirza Sakit, a journalist of Azadlig newspaper.
