Turkish President to Attend German-Turkish Football Match
Azerbaijan, Baku, 24 June / corr. Trend S.Ilhamqizi / Turkish President Abdullah Gul will leave for Switzerland to attend German-Turkish football match of the European Championship 2008, the Turkish new agency Cihan, reported.
On 24 June President Gul left Istanbul, beginning his European tour. On 25 June Gul will participate in the 15th World Economic Congress, and after, he will visit the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization. Gul also plans to attend the German-Turkish football match to be held in Basel, Switzerland.
The Turkish national football team defeated the Croatian team with the score 4:2 though penalty goals in the quarter final of Euro 2008. The score of the main time of the match was 1:1. Rajab Tayyib Erdogan, the Turkish Prime Minister, attended the Croatia-Turkey match.
The German National team will rival with the Turkish national team in the semifinal of Euro2008.
