Finnish Prime Minister Matti Vanhanen is slated to attend the August 8 opening ceremony of the Beijing Games, the prime minister's office said Wednesday.
During the week-long visit, Vanhanen is also due to watch some of the Finnish athletes compete and visit the Olympic Village, the statement said.
The visit includes bilateral talks on August 10 with Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao, including cooperation in issues concerning human rights, reported dpa.
