The document admission completed on 31 July and about 23,000 school leavers submitted their documents to the Commission.
Some 5,831 places were allocated for free education, 3,565 - paid education and 56 places to private education institutions, Abbaszade said.
The entrance exams will be held in several regions in the end of August. School leavers will pass exams on the Azerbaijani language, history and mathematics.
