Chief Coach of Azerbaijani Neftchi Football Club Regards his Decision on Dismissal of Major Footballers as Correct
Azerbaijan, Baku, 30 October / Trend corr. R.Ergun / The chief coach of the Azerbaijani Neftchi football club regards his decision on dismissal of major footballers as correct.
"Some footballers of the club dishonestly treated their work and did not play with all forces. I, as the chief coach of the team, should make such a decision," Hans Jurgen Gede, the chief coach of Neftchi, said in Baku on 30 October.
Some major footballers of Neftchi were dismissed from the team. These footballers are Rashad Sadigov, captain and fullback of the club, as well as halfbacks Georgia Adamiya, Alexander Chertoganov and Levent Kartop.
"I made this decision after a match with Inter. It was difficult, whilst I should take this step. Unfortunately, some experienced footballers could not live up our expectations," Gede told journalists at the International Press Centre of Trend company.
According to Gede, the club has had problems before him, as well. "I came to this position to assist the club and have known people, on whom I can rely on this matter," Gede said.
There is a serious problem between footballers of Neftchi club and its German chief coach Gede. At present Neftchi ranks tenth in the Azerbaijani Premier League because of its unsuccessful performance. The leadership of the club is expected either to dismiss the chef coach or some footballers of the club during a winter break to solve problems.
A reason of the footballers' dismissal was connected to their unsuccessful performances in the team.
