Azerbaijan, Baku, November 17/ Trend , corr I. Alizade/ Catholicos of All Armenia Garegin II will also be invited to the conference on inter-religious dialogue to be held in Baku.
"I and Alexi II, Patriarch of All Moscow and Russia are co-chairmen of Inter-Religious Advisory Council. All representatives across the world as well as Armenians are also members of this Council. Therefore Armenians will also be invited to the conference to be held in Baku," chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Clerical Board Sheik-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade told press conference on November 17.
Baku will host international conference on inter-religious dialogue from September 30 to October 2, 2009.
Not inviting Armenians to international conference in Baku harms initiatives on inter-religious dialogue. It is up to Armenians whether to accept our proposal, he said.
Pashazade said Armenian religious leader have expressed his willingness to meet with him.
"I have not yet accepted his proposal," Pashazade added.
Pontiff Benedict XVI has also been invited to the conference, he noted.
