Azerbaijan, Baku, Dec. 19 / Trend , R.Ergun/ Azerbaijani chess players, including Teymur Rajabov and Vugar Hashimov, rank first in FIDE Grand Prix tournament in the Russian Elista city.
Hashimov won Russian Alexander Orishuk with 1:0 score in the fifth round of the tournament. Rajabov drew a game with Hungarian Peter Leko.
Rajabov and Hashimov share the first place with 3.5 points after the fifth round in Grand Prix tournament.
Shahriyar Mammadyarov, another Azerbaijani chess player, drew a game with Uzbek Rustam Kasimjanov and ranks seventh with 2.5 points.
Rajabov will meet with Russian Dmitriy Yakovenk in the next round, Hashimov - with Bulgarian Ivan Cheparinov and Mammadyarov - with Hungarian Peter Leko.
