Gafarov / Strong wind which started from 24 January in the Khachmaz district of Azerbaijan caused serious problems by pushing down trees and in providing electricity to the area. As a result of this natural disaster, 60% of Khachmaz District, which is 151 km north of Baku, was left without electricity.
As the Chief of Khachmaz' power grid network Gismet Askerov told Trend , wind damaged power lines and poles.
"Electrical supply for the residents of the region will be restored as soon as possible", Abbasov said.
Currently, employees of the power grid network are working on the problem.
