The Azerbaijan's Press Council will implement a new project How does Azerbaijani media follow ethic norms?
"Monitoring of country's more than 60 regularly operating media outlets, including newspapers, magazines, news agencies and news portals, is envisaged as part of the project," Press Council told Trend on Feb. 12.
Over 3,300 media passed registration in Azerbaijan. Presently, nearly 600 media outlets operate. Approximately 400 newspapers and magazines are published. Nearly 20 TV channels broadcast. There are about 50 E-media, 20 of them are news agencies, other - Internet resources in Azerbaijan.
Special attention during monitoring will be paid to truth, accuracy, impartiality of information, media's attitude towards information sources, as well as following principles of honor and dignity, personal privacy, balance, etc.
The period of the project implemented under the U.S Embassy's financial aid is one year.
