Trend J.Babayeva / The number of deaths amongst prisoners in Azerbaijan reduced 40 percent in 2008 compared to 2003, and persons died from tuberculosis - three times, it was said on Feb. 19 at the meeting of the Ministry of Justice, dedicated to the results of last year and facing tasks.
Last year, 46 people were instituted to disciplinary responsibility for roughly breaking the law and making serious blunders in their work. Some 16 people were dismissed, 13 people were discharged from the agencies of justice.
During the reported period, there were more than 100,000 executive documents in the production of the service of judicial executors, 90 percent of which were completely completed. Last year the funds paid off to the legal and physical entities increased 40 percent to more than 21 million manat as compared to 2007.
The number of bills, prepared by the Ministry of Justice in different spheres of public activity, grew 2.3 times compared to 2003, number of notarial actions - 1.6 times, number of investigated criminal cases - 3 times, number of implemented completed court decisions - 2 times, number of registered noncommercial legal entities - 12 times.
Last year, 587 people were employed to the agencies of justice.
