Director of the Azerbaijani Academy of Sciences Institute for Human Rights, chief editor of the Renascence-21 century magazine and chairman of the International Scientific Council for Human Rights Rovshan Mustafayev passed away.
Mustafayev's ideas, social and scientific activities contributed a great deal to national political and legal reforms.
Mustafayev was born in Baku in 1960. He was a political expert with a doctorate in philology. Since 1993, Mustafayev was the director of the Institute of State and International Relations. From 1998, he served as the director of the Human Rights Institute of Azerbaijani Academy of Sciences. He authored over 50 scientific papers and monographs.
