The commission on complaints of Azerbaijani Press Council discussed complaints on seven publishing houses.

"Investigations regarding complaints on Muasir Azerbaijan (Modern Azerbaijan), Muasir Azerbaijan muallimi (Modern teacher of Azerbaijan), Nota, Muhakima (Discussion), Hagigatlar va faktlar (Truth and facts) and Sari (Yellow) magazine were held at the regular meeting, Press Council told Trend on March 13.

There are over 3,300 media outlets in Azerbaijan. Only 600 of them are operating at the moment. There are 400 newspapers and magazines and over 20 television channels. There are around 50 electronic media outlets and 20 information agencies. The remaining part account for Internet resources.

It was confirmed that several of media outlets violated Professional Behavior Rules of Azerbaijani Journalists.

"The commission decided that publishing houses not following ethic norms must give disproof," the message said.
