The Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers confirmed planned places for bachelor at state and private universities for 2009-2010 academic year. Under the plan, there are only 28,825 places: 8,756 - on first group, 7,326 - second, 9,288 - third and 3,455 - fourth, chairman of the State Students Admission Commission Maleyka Abbaszade told journalists on June 12.
Averagely four people will claim for one place, she said.
A total of 114,284 school-leavers confirmed their e-applications to participate in the entrance examinations in Azerbaijan. The admission will be held on 149 specialties.
