The Azerbaijani police will run medium security due to the start of the new academic year.
The policemen strengthened their regime to ensure the safety of the activities to be held in universities and secondary schools in the country on the occasion of the Day of Knowledge, the Interior Ministry's Official, Ehsan Zahidov, told Trend on sept.14.
A month of safe traffic under the slogan of "Attention, Children!", held by the Central Traffic Police Department of the Internal Ministry due to the beginning of a new academic year, will begin on Sept.10 -Oct.10.
Under Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev's decree, dated Aug.21, 2004, the academic year begins in the country on Sept.15.
There are 4,525 secondary schools whose teaching staff is 170,000 teachers in Azerbaijan.
