State Antimonopoly Service of the Ministry of Economic Development together with specialists from the Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan began inspections in order to prevent creating an artificial shortage and rising prices for protective masks (respirators) in connection with the increased demand for this group of products, said the joint information released by the ministries of economic development and health.
Cases of artificial price increases were revealed during inspections in a number of pharmacies. Violators were prosecuted administratively and measures are taken to withdraw licenses of such facilities.
Inspections are continuing.
