On Nov. 13, the Heinous Crimes Court sentenced Zaur Mammadov and Avaz Mammadov accused of drug trafficking from Iran to Azerbaijan to 14 years in-prison.
Employees of the Interior Ministry's Central Department on Combating Organized Crime and Bilasuvar District Police Department detained Zaur Mammadov and Avaz Mammadov when trying to sell 5 kg and 490 grams of heroin on March.1.
These individuals are charged under the Criminal Code 206.3.2 (smuggling), 234.4.1, 234.4.3 (illegal purchase, storage, transport, transfer and sale of narcotics in large quantities).
