Russian citizen accused of murder with special cruelty under trial in Azerbaijan

The trial of Russian citizen, accused of 80-year-old man's murder with special cruelty has begun in Azerbaijan.
Preparatory meeting on Russian citizen Rashan Israfilov's criminal case was held at the Serious Crimes Court.
Judicial review is scheduled for Jan.14.
Eighty-year-old Rafiq Aliyev's dead body was found in a house in 21, Khanlar Str, Pirallahi village of Baku's Azizbekov district on Oct. 21, 2009.
The examination revealed that Aliyev's throat was cut.
Azizbekov District Police Department's employees arrested Israfilov as a result of operative investigation actions. Israfilov has commited the crime because of self-interests. However, he could not find anything valuable in Aliyev's house.
Rashan Israfilov is charged with the Article 120.2.4 (deliberate murder committed with special cruelty or in publicly dangerous way), 120.2.9 (murder of a person, in a deliberately helpless condition for the accused, which is equal to kidnapping a person or capture of hostage), 120.2.1 (deliberate murder for robbery, extortion or gangsters), 181.3.3 (causing heavy harm to health of the victim) of the Azerbaijani Criminal Code.
