17th Open Baku Championship in Rhythmic Gymnastics ends (UPDATED)

Five Azerbaijani, two Ukrainian and one Bulgarian became winners of the 17th open Baku Championship in Rhythmic Gymnastics, the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation (AGF) reported 

118 athletes both from the capital societies and the sport organizations of other countries including Ukraine, Bulgaria and Georgia attended the Championship which was held in the Olympic Sports Complex in Baku

Ukrainian Mariola Bondarchuk took the first place, Lyaman Gadjiyeva (Spartak club) - the second place and Darya Sorokina ranked the third among the 8-year old athletes

Among 9-year old athletes Zohra Agamirova(Tehsil club) ranked the first, Balakhanim Ahmadova (Spartak)- the second and Nurana Mansurova (Spartak)- the third 

Among 11-year old athletes Martha Jakipchuk (Ukraine) took the first place, Emiliya Bagiyeva (Baku gymnastics school) the second place and Mehbara Mansurova (Spartak) the third place.

Among 12- year old athletes Gulsum Shafizade took the first place, Nilufer Niftaliyeva the second place and Lyaman Dadashli - the third place

Mansura Bagiyeva (Republican Complex Sport School) ranked the first, Ekaterina Prokopenko (Republican Complex Sport School) ranked the second and Leyla Huseynli (Baku Gymnastics School) ranked the third among 13-year old athletes

Aisha Mustafayeva (Spartak) took the first place, Lala Yusifova (Republican Complex Sport School) took the second place and Aynur Jabbarli (Neftchi) ranked the third among the 14-year old athletes.

Anastasiya Kisse (Bulgaria) took the first place, Jale Garatova (Serhedchi) ranked the second and Albina Aliyeva (Baku Gymnastics School) ranked the third among the 15 year old athletes

AGF also awarded athletes in various nominations 

The referees thanked the Federation for the organization of such competition. The Championship was important for the Georgian gymnasts preparing for the European Championship
