The State NGO Support Council under the Azerbaijani President announced a contest for journalists in covering the activities of NGOs.
The competition is titled "The role and tasks of non-governmental organizations in civil society development in Azerbaijan ", the council told Trend today.
The competition is open to journalists working in different media outlets. The journalist may submit only one article to participate in the contest.
The articles must be published in March, April, May and June in daily newspapers, as well as in the leading news sites with the following remark: "To participate in the journalistic competition of the State NGO Support Council under the Azerbaijani President, devoted to covering the activities of NGOs."
The works involved in other competitions will not be accepted.
The competition will provide the six major awards: I place (two awards) - each award for 1,000 manat, II place (two awards) - each award of 800 Manat, III place (two awards) - each award of 500 manat.
In addition, the journalists will be awarded ten consolation prizes of 100 each.
The journalists may submit their work and documents from the date of announcement's publication in the press until July1, to the council's secretariat.
