A verdict was made to the members of the gang, consisting of citizens of Azerbaijan and Nigeria who were accused of inflicting great damage in amount of 100,000 manat as a result of penetration of the computer center Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL).
Today upon the verdict of the Court on Heinous Crimes, was defined term of imprisonment for the citizens of Azerbaijan: Vagif Mirzazade - 10 years, Elyar Gojazade - seven years, Ahliman Mammadov - eight years and six months, a citizen of Nigeria Mutio Olov - seven years.
Shamsaddin Abdurahmanov, Tahir Amirguliev and Nazim Hasanov, received four years of conditional punishment, and Ata Abdullayev and Said Mammadov received seven years conditional punishment, Murad Mammadov was sentenced to a fine of 1,000 manat. They were released from the courtroom.
The criminals reportedly bought airline tickets online at www.azal.az using the stolen credit cards of foreign citizens and sold the tickets via e-mail to their clients at lower prices.
During the investigation, it was discovered that the criminals caused damages worth 100,000 manat. A criminal case was filed over the fact in accordance with the Azerbaijani Criminal Code.
The arrested are accused of Articles 271.2.1, 271.2.3 (illegal access to electronic information).
