A new book by Azerbaijani professor, doctor of philology Gazanfar Pashayev "To respect is our duty" has been presented today.
"I have written many books. But this book is one of the important ones because the book tells about the great personalities, who are always hope and support for us," the author told media.
The book reflects thoughts of Gazanfar Pashayev about people with whom the author talked. Most of them were his old friends. The book is the memory of Azerbaijani national leader Heydar Aliyev, Samed Vurgun, Rasul Rza, Bakhtiyar Vahabzada, Ihsan Dogramaci.
Gazanfar Pashayev wrote about the great personalities who lived in different periods in different places, MP Nizami Jafarov said.
"Gazanfar Pashayev makes a tremendous contribution to the social thought of Azerbaijan by his books", Jafarov said. He said that when talking about Iraqi Turkmans, we first recall Gazanfar Pashayev.
People always read and like Gazanfar Pashayev's books in the Soviet period, MP Ganira Pashayeva said at the presentation.
"Besides folklore, there were ideas, based on the national spirit in his books," Pashayeva said. MP said that Gazanfar Pashayev rediscovered Iraqis for us, whose language and culture is so similar to the culture and language of the Azerbaijanis.
The success of the book is in its sincerity.
The book is the scientific work, serious study, MP Agil Abbas said. "The book has a peculiar geography. There is information about the most famous personalities from all of our regions," Agil Abbas said.
