Azerbaijan determines the place to build houses for journalists, the state support fund for media development chairman Vugar Safarli told media.

"About 50 hectare of land was allocated to build a house in Bail settlement. There is a possibility for the construction of three 16-storey buildings. Documents will be received after construction is launched," Safarli said.

He said that the criteria for providing journalists with apartments have not been determined yet. This question has not been discussed.

"When the construction is launched, we will give the announcement of the list of documents required to be given," Safarli said.

Azerbaijani President Aliyev signed a decree July 22 to strengthen social protection of employees of the Azerbaijani press. The decree said that 5 million manat would be allocated from the presidential reserve fund to improve the living conditions of employees of the Azerbaijani press and build houses.
