Azerbaijan held competitions on the intellectual game "Brain Ring" between prisoners and journalists. The event took place in a prison No 6. The purpose of competition is to organize fruitful and useful pastime for prisoners.
Ragif Abbasov, the head of the Azerbaijani Youth and Sport Head Department, spoke at the event.
He said that such events are important to organize more productive time the prisoners, which are an integral part of society.
The intellectual game was conducted among the six teams consisting of prisoners and journalists. The prisoners were represented by the teams "Leaders", "Believers","Kapaz " but journalists - "Press","Journalists-athletes" and "Olympia".
The participants were asked questions on patriotism, national and spiritual values, cultural heritage of Azerbaijan, the country's geography, nature, politics, etc.
According to the results of the game, Kapaz team became the winner. Members of the team were awarded with diplomas, sports equipment, books and magazines about the sport.
The competition was organized according to the plan of actions to organize the fruitful pastime of prisoners approved by the Azerbaijani Penal Service and the National Olympic Committee.
