The Azerbaijani Supreme Court elected judges - members to the Qualification Commission of the Bar.
Supreme Court Judges Saadat Bektashi and Mehdi Asadov were elected members of the Qualification Commission at the Supreme Court's plenum meeting held few days age, the Bar told Trend.
The commissions' members-lawyers will be elected at a meeting of the Bureau in the next few days.
Following the complete formation of the Qualification Commission, 36 people, who submitted papers and previously worked as judges and lawyers, will be interviewed.
According to the latest changes and additions made to the Law on Advocates and Lawyers, persons, who worked before the judges and lawyers, will be accepted to the bar without exams.
Former lawyers and judges (except those who have been dismissed for violating the rules of discipline) may return to the activity after passing an oral interview without taking a test examination and participate in mandatory training.
There are about 800 lawyers in Azerbaijan.
