Georgian journalists got acquainted with the problems of Azerbaijanis living in Georgia. With the support of "GO Group" organization a group of 15 Georgian journalists met with their Azerbaijani colleagues and representatives of NGOs during a visit to Marneuli, the Public Association for Human Rights Protection "Tolerance" said.
During the meeting, the Azerbaijani journalists, representatives of the Democratic Union "Mtredi", the Public Association for Human Rights Protection "Tolerance" and members of other NGOs informed the Georgian journalists about the problems related to education, religion, media development and change of toponyms.
At a meeting with the Fakhrali village's residents the Georgian journalists discussed the suspension of the restoration works at a local mosque.
The goal of media organization "GO Group" is establishing a dialogue with the residents of remote regions, creating opportunities for activating the role of national minorities in public life.
