World Series Box: Azerbaijan pays special attention to boxing

Azerbaijan pays special attention to boxing, the supervisor of the World Series Box (WSB) Dr.
Abdullah Bessalam said to a press conference in Baku on Friday. Azerbaijani 'Baku Fires' team will for the first time meet with Chinese 'Beijing Dragons' in Baku on Nov. 20 within the first phase of the World Series Box.
The press conference was attended by WSB Supervisor, Dr. Abdullah Bessalam, general manager of the 'Baku Fires' Rizvan Ganjiyev, manager of the 'Beijing Dragons' club Yuan Zhong, members and head coaches of the clubs.
According to Bessalam, Boxing Federation of Azerbaijan is one of the reputed organizations in the world, and he believes in the successful completion of the competition.
"I'm proud that such a competition is held in Baku. The Boxing Federation of Azerbaijan is known around the world. Here a special attention is paid to boxing. I believe that successfully started competition will end successfully, and wish good luck to all participants," he said.
Manager of the 'Beijing Dragons' club Yuan Zhong said about the importance of this competition. "We have arrived in Baku with a strong composition. This competition will play an important role in the history of boxing," said Zhong.
Conducted upon professional rules, 12 teams from three continents - Asia, America and Europe - attend the competition. Each round lasts three minutes, the meeting consists of five rounds. The winner of the competition will be determined on the basis of the seven rounds and win the right to participate in the 2012 Olympics in London.
