Azerbaijan may send a jet to extinguish fire in Israel, Israeli newspaper Jerusalem Post reported.

The first of 25 foreign planes, promised to extinguish forest fire near the city of Haifa, landed on Friday at the base of the Israeli Air Force "Ramat David".

Moreover, Israel expects four firefighters planes to be transported from France and three from Great Britain. Russia, Spain, Cyprus, Bulgaria and Turkey promised to send two planes to extinguish flame, covering nearly 2,000 hectares of forest. Croatia plans to send another firefighter aircraft to Israel.

Israeli authorities evacuated more than 12,000 people.

According to firefighters, there is no direct threat to the inhabitants of Haifa. It is the third largest Israeli city with 250,000 people. However, they warn that night will be troubled for the city and suburbs.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called for the countries to assist.
