The Azerbaijani State Migration Service deported 801 foreigners illegally residing in the country in November.

The Migration Service employees have carried out relevant activities to identify and prevent illegal migration, cases of violation of the rules of temporary and permanent residence of foreigners and stateless persons in Azerbaijan, the State Migration Service told Trend.

As a result of the measures last month, 935 foreign nationals were found violating the requirements of administrative law.

The decision was made to deport 619 foreigners within 48 hours and to administratively expel 182 foreigners based on state legislation, the service reported.

16 persons were under 16 years of age, in connection with which they were not made answerable. Through fines, the residence of 134 people was legalized.

Last month, the service received 4, 974 appeals from the foreigners and stateless persons in connection with the extension of stay in the country, issuance of a permit for permanent and temporary accommodation, admission to citizenship, restoring and denial of citizenship, as well as the definition of citizenship and refugee status, issuance and extension of individual work permit.

According to the report, the service has reviewed each complaint in accordance with the laws of the country and made the appropriate decision.
